Collaborating to create a Union County where all can THRIVE!
Poverty is a reality for more than 17,000 residents in Union County. An additional 34,000 residents live unstable lives due to low income.
Many Union County individuals and families live in shelters, vehicles or even in tents. But poverty is not always visible. Some residents may live in their own home but have insufficient income to pay for basic needs like food, shelter, healthcare, clothing, etc. Poverty is a complex issue ranging from affordable housing, sufficient employment, adequate healthcare and access to food.
And that’s not thriving – that’s barely surviving. There’s a big difference.
